Don Bruton has been making and shooting flintlock longrifles since 1967. He is Native of North Carolina, and has deep roots going back there to before the Revolutionary War. He won best of show at Dixon’s Gun Makers Fair in 1998 with a plain Southern Longrifle, typical of the 1760 period.
He has also portrayed a Woodsman for over 42 years. His insight into Loading and Firing, not to mention his “believable look,” makes this video a must see for anyone interested in our American Pioneer Heritage.
