Colonial Pencils
Drop Spindles
David turns down ball point ink pens on a wood lathe. Varieties abound, Walnut, Cherry, Curly Maple, Osage Orange, Sassafrass, Oak, even deer antler. Most wood pens are $20 and Deer Antler are $25. In this picture from L-R are : Deer Antler, Sassafrass, Cherry, Osage Orange, Walnut Burl, Walnut. I do not stain the wood. They are all "natural," except curly maple which I sometimes stain with Aqua Fortis, a colonial gunstock stain, to bring out the natural curl more.

Special grain patterns are a few dollars more. Each come in a Clear Plastic Protective case, with a card telling what day the pen was made, and which spieces of wood it is.

This is a beautiful and interesting gift that is ideal for a business man or woman or a friend who takes notes while researching online colleges or anyone who enjoys writing with a nice pen. Call for Availability.
